Scott Gaylord of Lakewood, Colo., finished in 5th place after qualifying 4th for the Dodge Country 200 by Havoline and NAPA Belts & Hoses at Stockton, Calli. August 5th. Despite an early spin after being hit by another car, pushing the car back to last place, Gaylord was able to battle his way back and capture fifth in the Oliver Gravity Separators/Denver Seminary Chevrolet. Scott has moved up to 6th place in the series championship point standings.

"The crew has been doing a great job with the car," Scott says. "It feels good to be back on track and moving up in the points. Hopefully this positive momentum will carry us through the upcoming California Speedway race, where we were leading last year at one point."

Last week, Gaylord finished 6th at the NAPA 250 presented by AAA at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, Wash., after having a tire go flat early in the race.

The next event on the NASCAR Grand National Division, AutoZone West Series schedule will be at California Speedway in Fontana, Calif., on Sept. 1. The race will be televised live on HDNet and will be replayed later on the SPEED Channel.
